Figure Drawing for February 2, 2012

Hey, it's my 500th Figure Drawing!

It's a good time for some reflection...  Ugh!  That pun was terrible and obvious.  Oh, well, does anyone really expect something different from me?  :-) 

This was done for one of the Figure Drawing classes as a bit of a do-at-home project: Do a self-portrait without using a photograph.  I spent about 90 minutes working on the hand, and about an hour on the actual self-portrait.  


This was done with charcoal and white chalk on 9" x 12" Strathmore 500 charcoal paper.
