45 Minute Pose

Another figure drawing... well, painting, I suppose.  This session was playing with lighting and had a red light on one side of the model and a blue light on the other, hence the unnaturally warm color on the side which was facing me.

This was done with watercolor on 11" x 15" Arches (#110) Hot-Press watercolor paper.

Hey, it's my 100th figure drawing posted!  This was a self-portrait for one of the figure drawing classes I attend in La Crosse, WI.

Here are a couple more drawings from the same drawing session as the previous post and are also done as pastel on black paper.  It gives is a sort of neon look, which really makes everything seem to "pop".

Here are a bunch of figure drawings and warm-up sketches...

These were all part of the same drawing session.  Once again, the pastel on black paper never seems to shoot quite right.  Ah, well.  Blue and white seem to make things more ethereal and ghostlike.

This was done with pastel on 9" x 12" black cardstock.
