Happy New Year!
Well, another year done. Here's to hoping this year is better than the last--and the one previous!
As always, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for taking a few moments to stop by and quickly gawk at my modest Blog. I sincerely appreciate it, along with all the kind words many of you have sent to me. Thank you!
We did eventually get to return to Figure Drawing this Autumn, so I guess that is a start on a return of normalcy. Here's to hoping things continue in general direction.
This is a painting I did last year (and posted on January 1, 2021), but I did a bit of a digital update, changing the gas mask to a proto-Beak Doctor mask, and changed the wings, as well as doing a little bit of tweaking here and there to correct and smooth out things.
I also submitted it to a local, Mid-Western art magazine, "Moss Piglet" (a slang term for a Tardigrade), which is based out of Kenosha, WI. I believe it is due out in their January issue, but with some of the supply chain issues, may be released closer to February.
"Annihilation Angel 2022"
This was done with gouache on 12" x 18" Stonehenge paper, then imported into Clip Studio Paint and digitally painted on an iPad.
